When a cat goes missing we send an email with a photo and description of the lost cat to all our members (lookers) living in the search areas.
This way the lookers know which cats are missing and can start to report sightings. Your email address is not public and will only be shown to the owner of a cat you have reported.

Note: If you have not received an email alert you can still report a sighting:
You can check if the cat you have spotted is registered in our list by using the search bar on the right menu.

1. Log into your account.
2. Select the "I lost my cat" tab on the top navigation menu to create an alert.
3. The alert will be emailed to the lookers registered in your search areas.
It will then be added to our 'missing cat list'.

lookformycat.com only requires your email address and the cat's location. Please do not state your street number nor your real name on the registration form.

Your email is always kept private, except when you report a sighting.
When you report a sighting your email address is sent to the owner of the missing cat. This ensures the sighting is genuine and allows the owner to contact you.

You will only hear from us when a cat goes missing or is found in your area.
lookformycat.com will not give your email address to any marketing organisations.
